My name is Jean and I live in the village of Fivehead in rural Somerset in the south west of England. My home and kennels stand in three acres of land backing on to the R.S.P.B woodlands, where I live with my husband and young family. I have over 30 years of experience in breeding dogs, but I have always preferred the larger breeds and decided after much research that the Alaskan malamute was the breed for me. I started off with a black and white bitch, which I called misha. She had the loveliest temperament and all the family instantly fell in love with her, but she did turn out to be a bit on the large size. I like the malamutes in France, as they were smaller, and so I went on to import my first boy named Takara. He was a wonderful dog and sired my first snowshoes puppies, and I kept three girls from him: Storm, Sasha and Phoebe. Always looking to keep good blood lines, I then imported a dog and a bitch (Tango & Roma) from Gloria Urbani of the Del lago Degli Orsi kennels in Italy, this enhanced my breeding and established a good type and sound temperament. All my dogs are hip and eye tested, well exercised and very much a part of our family life.
